Inclusive design manual
The task was to make updates to the Inclusive Design manual. It can be tempting to leave your mark on your work, and this is where practicing restraint comes with benefits. Through a series of simple typographic and visual edits, the manual gained a pleasant simplicity.
The diagrams were the work of the authors, so my contribution was maximizing their fidelity and brining all of the diagrams into visual harmony.
The manual had sparse pacing, and was very intentional with how much content was on each spread. Spreads like this gave the opportunity to make use orientation and negative space.
Where there was room to exercise visual creativity, it was still done with restraint——pulling the the bleed of the photography onto the other page of the spread, and finding opportunities to mix inspirational photography when appropriate.
